Do you take insurance? We do accept most major insurances. If we are an in-network provider your insurance should cover the majority of your care. However, you will be responsible for any co-pays/deductibles/co-insurance and medication costs. Please see our home page for a list of insurance companies we accept.
Please Note: Your insurance company may require us to bill separately for Physician fees. In order to properly bill your insurance company a valid insurance card must be present upon initial assessment, if any changes occur with your insurance you must inform our staff immediately in order to avoid any billing problems that may occur.
What is the involvement of family members? Incorporation of family members into the program is a key factor in recovery. At Alternative Behavioral Care we treat the whole family. Our program consists of weekly family groups. Family members are very instrumental in supporting healthy recovery. There are cases where a patient may prefer not to have family involvement because of issues that may impede their recovery. What is your cancellation policy? A 24 hour notice is required to cancel or change your appointment. Please call the office directly to cancel.
What is the payment policy?
Initial assessment is free of charge. Co-pay is due at time of service for all follow-up appointments. Payment arrangements may be made for co-insurance and deductibles. Credit cards and HSA cards accepted.
Why can't I book an appointment online with a psychiatrist? An initial consultation with a therapist is required before we can book an appoinment with a psychiatrist. After your initial consultation we will immediatly book your appointment with a psychiatrist within 7 days.
Why can't I book a suboxone assessment online? There are a couple of logistical issues that you may want to consider before signing up for our program. We want to ensure you have all the necessary information needed before attending a suboxone appointment.
Why did I get assigned to a different therapist after I booked my appointment? Due to the nature of our business you may be assigned to a different staff person at time of assessment. This is our way of providing you with your promised appointment and accounting for emergencies that may occur within the office.
